On August 28, as part of formal events at MAKS-2019 airshow, the chalet of JSC Aerospace systems DB (current suppliers of MC-21 program) was visited by PAO Irkut Corporation delegation, press service of the DB informs.

The Deputy General Director for Development, the Chief Designer of MC-21, Konstantin Popovich, and the Deputy Director of Design Bureau, Galina Kalygina, were shown the groundwork, and were updated on the status of activities to substitute import of key systems of general aircraft equipment, including assemblies and components of electrical power system (EPS), internal lighting equipment, elements of cabin interior, and economy and comfort class seats.
\nThe EPS generation channel and the primary distribution system are scheduled to be put to tests until the end of this year. Shipset of internal lighting equipment has successfully passed the factory laboratory testing. The development of electronic design documentation for interior elements is complete. Based on 3D models of interior elements, manufacturing process is being adjusted, and layout mockup has been assembled. Passenger seats have successfully passed testing for emergency landing dynamic conditions with a G-force of 16g and 14g. At present, paperwork for certification procedures is being finalized; the Certificate of fitness of components (SGKI) is expected to be granted by the Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya) in October 2019.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
